Kincardine and Deeside Pennant
This competition consists of a Gents Section and a Ladies Section.
It is up to the host club to decide whether to run Gents and Ladies on the same Sunday or on different Sundays, usually at the end of June/beginning of July.
The venue, as with the Scott Trophy, rotates geographically and is usually played at an 18 hole Course. Teams eligible to play in the Scott Trophy may also play in this competition i.e the ten Deeside League teams plus Auchenblae and Balmoral.
This is a handicap competition over 18 holes with the best 3 nett scores from 4 to count in deciding the winning team. The handicap limit for this event for Gents is 20 and for Ladies, 30. In the event of a tie the winners are decided by taking into account the 4th score.
Ballater hosted on Sunday 7th July 2024 - In the Gents competition Balmoral won the shield on 212, followed by Ballater on 219 and Peterculter on 220. 12 teams competed.
In the Ladies competition, Portlethen won the shield with a total score of 218, followed by Peterculter on 225 and Aboyne on 229. 6 teams competed.
Portlethen will host the 2025 competition on Sunday 6th July.
