This competition has been played  since 1994 on the first Sunday of October.

It is contested by the 10 clubs involved in the Deeside League. 

Each team consists of six players, all of whom must have played in at least one of the league run events that year. The maximum numbers of Juniors (under 18) in a team is 3. The maximum handicap is 20 and the competition is Stableford with all six scores counting. In the event of a tie the trophy will be shared by the respective teams. 

The venue is decided on an alphabetical basis and is played on all the League courses. 

At the end of this competition the prize giving will take place which includes this trophy, the league trophy and the scratch and handicap knock out competitions. 

In 2024 Portlethen hosted this event. Aboyne won with 190 points, Lumphanan 179, Stonehaven 176, Portlethen 172, Peterculter 170, Torphins 168, Banchory 165, Ballater 164.

Tarland will host the 2025 competition on Sunday 5th October.
