This competition has been played  since 1994 on the first Sunday of October.

It is contested by the 9 clubs involved in the Deeside League. The venue is decided on an alphabetical basis and is played on all the League courses. 

Each team consists of six players, all of whom must have played in at least one of the league run events that year. The maximum number of Juniors (under 18) in a team is 3. The maximum handicap is 20 and the competition is Stableford with all six scores counting. In the event of a tie the trophy will be shared by the respective teams. 

At the end of this competition the prize giving will take place which includes this trophy, the League trophy and the scratch and handicap knock out trophies. 

In 2025 Tarland hosted this event. Aboyne won with 168 points, Tarland 161, Stonehaven 158, Peterculter 155, Lumphanan 149, Banchory 145, Torphins 144, Ballater 140, Portlethen 135

Torphins will host the 2026 competition on Sunday 4th October.
